You Poem by Maya Garza

You

Would that I could banish you from my mind.
For you've done no wrong, and I am afraid that I will.
You.
You've been all love, and
attempts at love.
And I.
I have been all rejections.
I wish I knew if I was real.
If you,
If me.
And I ponder on what good this ink does do,
what sense of clarity provided.
Ink smudges,
Ink fades.
Although...
it does remain.
To some extent.
If only I knew to what extent.
I could be happy.
