Unapologetic (Ii) Poem by Maya Garza

Unapologetic (Ii)

I dreamt of you past nights,
the worst whirlpool of emotion.
I was at the center,
I ordered food,
my mouth was dry.
You were there,
with she,
she,
she,
you sat at a table far away.
I followed suit,
until you left.
At the bus station,
it was foggy,
so foggy,
red-tinged fog.
You drove by, laughing paranoia.
Haha.
Ha.
I could produce the finger,
glaring at those dark rims.
At the bus station,
the red leather couch drank me in.
And then you came,
you offered sushi.
'Sorry, I'm not hungry, perhaps some other time.'
Into the snow.
Red-tinged fog.
You took my hand.
I awoke, gasping,
the worst whirlpool of emotion.
