You And We Poem by Shaun Cronick

You And We

We go all the way now,
Not just half or two thirds.
We sketch it out in pictures,
In our songs and our words.

We now do what we're told not to do,
We break the rules of your crass authority.
You cover up deeds and bury them in your dirt,
As our small minority swells to a majority.

For we do no longer care now,
For your promises made to defuse.
Now your grip on power is slipping,
For we the people shall never lose...

We wouldn't want to be you.
We choose never to be near you.
We will eternally curse you.
As we raise armies against you!
