You And Your Touch Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

You And Your Touch

I do not want to think, About the feelings I feel.
The emotion you evoke, It's not time to spill.
For you belong to another, I have no right to you.
I thought you were alone, single, untethered.
I was wrong…. and you….. you, let me be.
But, now I know, and I still can't help myself.
I want you and your touch, like nothing else.
You prey upon my craving, and offer me no quarter….
My only defense, is to see you not at all,
For why torture myself, with longing unfulfilled?
The sight of you sends me quaking, not in fear but in lust.
And your touch…. Sends me spiraling….. It's a fight to stay on earth.
So, when you dial my number, there is no answer.
And your text? You get no response…
