'' You Are But A Coward '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' You Are But A Coward ''

Rating: 5.0

Mr Cameron by refusing,
The T.V. debates,
It’s we you’re abusing,
Our Prime Minister dictates.

Are you running scared?
You won’t know the answers,
Or you’ll not be spared,
By that bunch of chancers.

It’s not question time,
Which is well rehearsed,
A reply you can’t mime,
You’ll not be well versed.

Have you something to hide,
Which is so uncouth,
Have you no pride,
Are you afraid of the truth?

When you tell your lies,
Does it worry you?
Those facts you disguise,
Will be in full view,

The country’s doing great,
You’d have us believe,
So why won’t you state,
What you’d have us perceive,

We are in it together,
Is surely a farce?
Hoist the white feather,
Your courage is sparse.

To say where and when,
You think you’re empowered,
Crawl back to your den,
