Social network friends connected by a thread
It's been a long time ago since we spoke
Our friendship severed with a cloud overhead

Peeked at your homepage with curiosity
Family is grown your little girl is a bride
The smile on your face tells me you are happy
All my worrisome concern is now set aside

Will I send a message requesting a reconnect?
I think not; the distant past is best left behind
The time since we were a team has passed by
It is enough to know the years have been kind
