You Are Hers Poem by Randy McClave

You Are Hers

She's suppose to be that annoying person that you adore
For now and forever more,
Sometimes she gets on your very last nerve
And then with a wink and a grin your actions she'll observe.

She says and does corny stuff to make you smile
Even if sometimes it's because she wants to reconcile,
It's the things that she will always do
And she is always deeply and madly in love with you.

She'll say dumb things when you know that she's worried
Especially when she is rushed and hurried,
She tells you how she feels constantly maybe with a rhyme
So, you know you mean everything to her all of the time.

Sometimes she doesn't text you anytime at all
And sometimes from her, you don't even receive a call,
And then you think that she's mad or maybe even trying to be coy
But, the fact is she is just trying not to annoy.

When you fight she goes to sleep sick to her stomach
Hurt and sadness and worries from rum and cake,
And she will stay sick until you both finally make peace
Then the sadness and the sickness in her will quickly cease.

You're the only thing that makes everything to her better
Whether with a kiss, a look or even a poetic letter,
And as conflict and love and confusion and doubt the world stirs
To her you are truly the only one, and you are only hers.
