You Are My Simple Speech Poem by Jonzo Bandwagoner

You Are My Simple Speech

From the inside of my head,
I’ll ready these thoughts,
Telling myself, it’s much too hard,
I’d rather speak your mind and stay silent.

No speech, without realization
I am making no sense,
Thinking, ‘say what you feel, ’
‘Ok, ’ dribbles out. I am found foolish.

Yet our thoughts meet, that gleam,
Rises and opens my mouth once again.
Will you overlook, please? I dream to vocalize, to
To simply speak

I aspire to this-the speech that actually communicates what I want it to...so hard to spit out sometimes. I'm on it. -landrey
