You Are Not The Whirling Dervish, O Mykoul Poem by Mohammad Younus

You Are Not The Whirling Dervish, O Mykoul

You are not the whirling dervish, O MyKoul,
Who dances in rhythm circling round and round;
You cannot encompass Him who encompasses,
The heavens and the earth;
Open up your eyes, and see how the light of God,
Encompasses you and the multiverse;
You derive your power and strength solely from,
The energy of God.

He quickens the world to life in one command:
'Be! ' And it becomes!
He gave you spiritual wings to soar in His heavens;
He gave you divine eyes to see Him,
In His stupendous manifestations on earth;
And He gave you the divine intellect,
To know Him from His beauty all around you.

All praise be to The Haq: The Truth! The One-reality!
Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth,
That extols Allah, the lord of the worlds,
The Sovereign! the Pure! the Exalted in Might! the Wise!
Let you, too, praise Him exclusively, O MyKoul,
With your heart, sole, and mind!

Wake up! Wake up! use your eyes! Your ears! Your brain!
Know the great creator when you see His awful creation;
And, knowing the creator, recognize that He is your essence,
And this realisation ought to be your pleasure,
To know the creator of humankind and every thing,
To know that your own beauty and your own life is,
An integral part of all His wonderful creation.
