You Are Not Unknown Because You're Hidden Poem by Mohammad Younus

You Are Not Unknown Because You're Hidden

---

You are not unknown because you're hidden,
but because of the veils over our eyes.
From Heaven, you send sweet notes of your music,
but none of us can hear this melody—
only lovers with your eyes and ears can.
Your music turns to light, enlightening our hearts;
we see your Light everywhere:
in plains, moors, mountains, woods, deserts.
Light upon light, light upon light!
The invisible becomes visible;
we emerge from deep darkness into light.
How can they deny you,
who see your Light radiating from every side?
