You Are Safe Poem by Randy McClave

If you are hetro, bi, trans or even gay
If you are a she, or a he or even a they,
Whether you are black or white, yellow or red
Of if even you are a different color instead.
Whether you're Christian, Islam, Hindu, Buddhist or Jew
Or being an agnostic is your point of view,
If you had an abortion because of worries or fears
Or if you are bullied and harassed to tears.
If you need somewhere to stand
If you need a caring ear and an outreaching hand,
And if you are scared of either of them or he or she
If you want to just be yourself, you are safe with me.
