God bless you and me both, Rach, for we both need it.

You are silently loved by me from afar.

I will forever argue one last point with you wherever you are...

And it is this: we should have remained together, no matter what.

I can sense your vitriol towards me since we split and you I sought...

But beneath its veneer, and below the surface, in those unspoken realms of the heart...

You desperately miss me too.It might never see the light of day,

But years apart, I lovest thee and thine, in every way,

And life's myriad colors -without you -cry themselves into grey.

I know that getting along daily was a Herculean task,

But I would deny you not even my life, shouldest thou ask.

Mistakes I have made, yet a mistake I surely am not,

Thou art proof of feminine perfection God Almighty hath wrought,

Crafted by Divine Inspiration from the blessed Abilene soil,

My repressed love for thee, burns hotter than molten aluminum foil.

And divorce is not something that I would ever initiate,

However, in this case, with my whole heart, its genesis I silently advocate.

In the face of utter hopelessness, I never gave up trying.

What I lacked in some areas -yeah, okay a lot -

I more than made up for in patience and poetic beauty.

Verily, poets always win in love.

Like a babe learning to walk maybe...

Slowly, fumbling, and by the smallest degrees of evolution...

But nonetheless, assuredly, poets always win in love.

Though analogously, I have yet to even begin to crawl,

Lo, I am with you romantically -metaphorically -suspended mid-fall... indefinitely...

Maybe one day I'll attain the courage to your phone number dial, then call...

Knowing for a fact if you answered, my voice -choked in tears -would stall.
