You Are The Eye Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

You are the eye of the people and,
You are the eye of your family!
For you are the one to set them free from poverty.

Do not add to these things or take away from,
Do not subtract from these things or even multiply them!
And like the higher tower in the lower valley of love,
But the trees in the Garden of Eden were all laws.

You are the eye of the people and like,
The law starting from Adam and ending up on us today;
For it is like every man and his brother and,
Of every woman and her sister!
Because the great reward of this love is hidden beside you.

Every man to his neighbour and every woman to her neighbout too,
But you are spiritually exalted because of the Sabbath;
And you are surely the eye of your people on this land.

Green-green forest and brown-brown desert!
And of the white-white sand to pave way for your success;
For you are the eye of your family and,
Your love smells like the Almond flowers around me.
