You Best Make Diligence And Hard Work Your Wife - Poem by Mark Heathcote
Sharpen your pencils, don’t act goofy
Knowledge is obtained through diligence
Not through envious, tomfoolery.
You can bait a hook and still be chivalrous…
You can put your heart & soul on the line
Without fear there’ll be any dereliction of duty
Without a clean escape you can’t just mime
You can’t just see saw and expect your bootee.
If there’s something yummy you’ve desired in life
You best make diligence and hard work your wife.
