You Can Never Measure Poem by Susheela Alexiose

You Can Never Measure

You can never measure
The depth of my pain
Nor can you weigh
The heaviness of my heart

When you hold me in your arms
And we become one
My heart leaps with joy
and sings in gladness

If you find me in tears
and notice my trembling lips
My love, it's all 'cause of
The dreadful days and nights

The abuse that I had
The accusations that I heard
The tortue that I suffered
The sorrow of loneliness and despair

When you hold me tight
You're holding a broken vase
When you kiss the flower
Thorns of tears may poke you

But, you are loved and honoured
Admired and respected
You're the man of my dreams
In whom my heart and soul rejoice
