You Can'T Have That Poem by JoAnn McGrath

You Can'T Have That

Most of us have heard the story of the forbidden fruit
Adam and Eve tempted in the garden
Wanting what they shouldn't have
And changing every thing in the end

The desire is with us at birth
Just look at every child who wants a new toy
They want it so badly they cry
Then once they have it it's no longer a joy
Thrown in a pile with the rest
Forgotten at best

And yes, the big on
Go ahead and say what your thinking
Man's craving from the beginning of time
Lust for the opposite sex....no commiting

Why is it man craves what he can not have?
Then once he receives it
Whatever it maybe....His thirst is quenched
And the article he so desired, he can now omit
