You Can't Have It All Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

You Can't Have It All

Rating: 5.0

Amazed at the gift of nature
My mind cannot comprehend
A man of excessive wealth and affluence
Capable of catering for a nation
Young, virile and healthy
Blessed with a beautiful maiden
Equally young, virile and healthy
Yet not an offspring of theirs

Another in same vicinity there is
With a wife also is blessed
But scraps the earth crumbs to feed
Yet in their abode their abound
Many children out of their loins
Astonished I reason intensely
This world is not balanced
You can never have it all.
