You Choose Poem by Miranda Weller

You Choose

Sitting here lost in the moment, I had to let you know I wasn’t on it. I said my goodbyes, it ended so fast. Once feelings were hurt I knew in my heart, it would not last. He became a drug, an addiction of mine. The comfort was strong then he crossed the ling. How could something I thought would last, so quickly become part of the past. We shared something special, until his eyes strayed with greed. A “man” who will knock you when your down isn’t something I want or need. If only you could of seen what my eyes have seen. Maybe for a moment you’d stop fooling with her and make things right by me. It’s good, I’ll always be your friends, just know this gorgeous young girl will win in the end.
