You Complain About Climate Change Poem by Francis Duggan

You Complain About Climate Change

You complain about Climate Change but it is worthy of note
That on election day that for pro big business candidates you choose for to vote
You did have your chance to make a pro environmental statement and now you complain
Of a dry and brown countryside crying out for rain
You get what you voted for and to you this should not seem unfair
More big factories and coal mines and polluted air
More polluted and drying out waterways where fish in their millions die
If youdo not believe that more short term jobs does not come at a huge cost to the natural environment you believe your own lie
For you to complain about greenies on your behalf not very wise
Since they are not in government or never have been yet you do not seem to realize
That the political candidates you voted for in the present and the past are mostly to blame
For the drying out of the earth that feeds us which is to Humanity'sshame
You complain about climate change but then why did you vote
For anti environment parties who only big business promote.
