You Do Not Love Me Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

You Do Not Love Me

You could avow your love for me
And declare your affections openly
You could offer me precious gifts
And announce your loyalty to me
You could console me with hugs
And satisfy my love with thrills
And to the envy of the world
But I know you do not love me
If for one moment in a lifetime
You would laugh at my failures,
Ridicule me in my misfortunes
Or deride me in my afflictions
