You (Edited) Poem by Cory Jensen

You (Edited)

I'd spilt the heavens
Knock out the stars.
Swim across the oceans
For you, I'd go that far.
I'd craddle fire in my palms
Sing that unsung melody.
Sell my heart away
If that meant keeping you.
I'd break the cycle
Dim the Sun.
Toss aside the Moon
Anything for you.
I'd find out what its like to fly
Eat a fruit off a forbidden vine.
Find the reason why we live.
I can't love without you.
I'd cry tears to make a sea
Build a bridge from memories.
Lose my sight in order to see
If that meant keeping you by me.
I'd lose my name
Bury my pride under stone.
Count the breaths you take
I would never make a mistake.
I'd kneel and kiss a kings ring
Pick a rose with no glove.
Go into battle, be the only one.
I'd be a fool if I must,
Go the distance to be at your side.
Crawl to the other side of Earth
So I can speak your name.
I'd die for you
Bleed forever so you can strive.
Forget to breathe until you say
I love you.
