Will You Be My Romeo? Poem by Cory Jensen

Will You Be My Romeo?

Will you be my Romeo?
And I, your Juliet?
Lets run off into the sunset
With hate at our backs.

We'll face the winds
Give a heavy sigh.
There is nothing
To stand between you and I.

Everything beneath my fingertips
Laid under my very own lips.
Cold to the touch, hot to the bone
By now, we know we will never be alone.

My dear Romeo,
How can I forget?
You'll always be my hearts' one desire.
The long burning fire under our skin.

I fear I'm not thinking
Your clouding up my mind.
Your boiling in my blood
Can you taste me on your tongue?

The curse of families
Runs through our veins
Tip this rustic bottle
All of our differences shall fade.

Lets play Russian Roulette
On your one Juliet.
The hole in my heart is bigger
All that's left, is to pull the trigger.

For you are a Montague
And I, a Capulet.
My handsome Romeo,
Your faithful Juliet.
