You haven't deprived me of your free gifts:
The smiles, the laughter, the ecstasy,
the love, the peace, and the contentment;
It's still available, will always be available to me;
In enormous quantities now onwards too;
The tears, the anxiety, the anger, the frowns:
All are grossly my own cultivation;
As I sow so do I reap!
Yes, I admit, in difficult times you bailed me out;
Your words, your touch, your melodious voice,
Your unbound light!
Which of your powers, your blessings, your favours,
Would I deny, ignore, and neglect?
I haven't forgotten the time when I was,
Not a thing [even] mentioned;
It's your love and presence that gave me life,
And made me your vicegerent on earth;
But I did not live upto my covenant,
Took others as my lords;
I know I can't get peace and your pleasure,
Unless you allow me do the Taubatun- Nasuha! ! !
