You Love Me—so You've Planted Flowers Poem by Mohammad Younus

You Love Me—so You've Planted Flowers

You love me—so you planted flowers
In the garden of your creation.
'I picked the prettiest ones I could find.'
These flowers carried your scent, your beauty,
And I learned they held more than just petals.

I love you—so I gathered these blooms.
Must there not be diamonds hidden too,
Sparkling with your divine light?
I plucked them, adorned by your vastness,
To witness your presence all around me.

Through each bloom,
An uncaused light shines.
Yet in my ignorance,
I walked past, blind.
But today, these flowers
Touch my soul's mantle,
Adorning my heart's sacred niche.

What grace you bestow!
I love you deeply—
With your flowers, I crafted a vase,
Filling it with your love—
The finest work I've ever known.
