People do pass by the shore of my life
In spring or summer when the sea is calm
But none ventured in my water or tried
For it may be too cold or not too warm
But you, sweet love, floated in my ocean
You know how stormy my waves are in winter
You delved in and saw my darkness deeply
And the moods of my sea in all weathers
You still cherish and love me with my mess,
My flaws and fewer virtues that I hold
You touch my heart with all your tenderness
With admiration, my soul you behold
Thus I learned that I need not color me
For you, sweet soulmate, love the all of me
