You Never, Never Loved Me Poem by Hebert Logerie

You Never, Never Loved Me

Considering the extreme scheme
That we had faced, finally the supreme
Evidence was at hand, in front of us
Darling, you never, ever loved me
It was not love that was dust
It was not love that was lust
Baby, you never, ever loved me
You forgot your emotions in the bus
You never truly cared for me
Love always demonstrates wit and compassion
Love is always full of sweetness and passion
When it was time to prove the love
You failed miserably, like the last dove
Which tried to smudge my windshield
You were never my shelter and my shield
You ignored me when I needed you
The most
You dumped me when I wanted you
The most
Darling, you never, never loved me
You left me to die under a falling tree
At a critical time
And that was a crime.
