You Raised Me Up Poem by Jennifer Birchall

You Raised Me Up

Rating: 5.0

I stood on your hands and you lifted me up
Into the sky, I think my head touched the clouds
You were so strong, the strongest man in the whole world
You held me high so I could catch my dreams
Before they floated away in a bubble
I put them in my pocket to keep them safe
You let me believe I could fly, that anything was possible
I was your little girl and you helped me to stand tall
I'm still standing tall Dad because you raised me up

I had to revisit this peom, as it paints such a clear picture of the love, regard and respect you have for your dad. It is extremely touching x
