You're Not So Important Poem by Hebert Logerie

You're Not So Important

I need your at times, presently
But you're not so important to me
You're not the air that I breathe continually
You're not the water that I drink daily
You're not the food that I eat three times a day
Stop acting as if you're indispensable
I am forced to tell it to you like it is
Take it easy one day at a time please
Life has plenty of surprised. Be reasonable
And be sensitive at times to others' feelings
The dog barks, the cat meows and the bird sings
They're all experts in their fields and doing their things
Be humble, be practical and have a lot of understandings
You're important to me, if you behave humanely
If you're kind, respectful, gentle, and very friendly
I can go and on but I decided be easy on you this time
By the way, don't laugh; you owe me a shiny dime.
