I feel very lonely today
All I hear is cars passing
outside my window
tires splashing in the rain
and the only other noise I hear
is the sound of an oscilating fan
and the sound of my lonliness
which I feel as well as hear
Wish someone was near

I reach for you
because you feel like a friend
kindness, I hope to you I send
we both feel lonliness I guess
and we're both on the mend
if someone put you down
you I would defend
i guess that's a friend

Do you have time for me today
I wonder if you do
or if I've somehow pushed you away
you know I think you're so nice
I could never name your price
so hope you don't feel dismay
and that here for me, friends we'll stay
Are you shying away

You're nice to talk to you know
both dark and light
but to me your brightness
shines so bright
a soft heart you hide
but you surely do have
and it feels good to feel it
when we share it feels right

We all wish to be special
but rarely do we ever feel so
seems like everyone we meet these days
is just come and go
but this I wan't you to know
You're someone!
