'' You're Still All That Matters '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' You're Still All That Matters ''

Rating: 5.0

To claim another,
Has committed a crime,
It's the facts you smother,
For life they'll do time.

Innocence isn't bliss,
Despite what they say,
What you slanderers miss?
There's a price to pay.

No smoke without fire,
You'll hear others quote,
He could be a liar,
Which sticks in the throat.

Chinese whispers abound,
He's did it before,
No proof to be found,
But they add even more.

His life you've destroyed,
By your lies and deceit,
He's left with a void,
While you show conceit.

You make up an excuse,
The truth you deny,
He still suffers abuse,
You continue to lie.

When the truth appears,
More lies you conceive,
He's left in tears,
While your lies deceive.

Things are too tough,
He decides to meet death,
You say it's bluff,
As he takes his last breath.

Even after you're caught,
His life is in tatters,
While he's left distraught,

‘' You're Still All That Matters ‘'

Very powerful write. Every single word and the line needs to be followed and weighed in true spirit. I fully agree with you when you say- think before you speak ill of others. Thank you, Bri. Even after you're caught, His life is in tatters,
