You're The Brave Poem by Thomas Plotz

You're The Brave

Just write, she says
Just write, and let the words come out
Just let them fall, spill upon the floor
Just enough pain to explain, the reason to run
Just broken, my love, for I don't deserve yours

Crazy the pain, that I keep,
Of the secret solder underneath
Snap salute, laid the wreath,
A blessing for my brothers

Once again, I let my Brave slip out
Once again, I do love you so,
Once again, I can't ask for help, how I love you so

So many have seen me fade,
Awaken then drift away, once more
My hearts blood, spilled upon the floor,

It is you all, who are the Brave
Who gave your all, to save me once more?

Your cure remains close at hand, she says
Relic of the land of love
Remnants from state of bliss
Remainders of relationships,
That love will heal all

Hold my heart once more my loves
Bandage my damage, that I've done,

For I will hold you,
For I will hold you,
For I will stay
For I will
