You Were A Stranger Poem by Edwina Reizer

You Were A Stranger

You were a stranger when we met
and yet it's like I knew you.
The eyes familiar to mine own,
the smile nothing new.

Unimaginable that when you spoke
I'd heard that voice before.
How could this be happening?
It's like a walked through a forgotten door.

Such is the feeling of deja vu
that springs forth a memory.
Now as I think back on that day
I wonder if you recognized me?
