You Were My Everything Poem by Ana Z. M.

You Were My Everything

You were my everything in life.
You were my Dad when I acted as a child.
You were my son when you needed your mommy.
You were my teacher when I needed to learn a new lesson.
You were my dictionary when I didn’t understand the meaning of something.
You were my boyfriend in every single moment.
You were my husband when you loved me crazy.
You were my oxygen.
You were my love.
You were my all.

And so I was your everything too,
But then you decided to change your mind.
You left me behind being my nothing.
Not leaving me a thing.
Hopeless, lonely, and broken hearted.
Working hard to collect all the pieces.
This is not just a poem these are my feelings to you.
I was your everything, you were my everything.
Now if YOU read this, you’ll know what you did.
That you left me, made you leave the most invaluable thing on earth,
A true love, someone who did care for you.
From now on I forgive you.
But will you be able to forgive yourself,
For all the monstrous things you did?
