Young And Foolish Poem by Ray Hansell

Young And Foolish

Rating: 5.0

When I was young and foolish
I didn't understand
That I once held love
In the palm of my hand

She was right there with me
Always by my side
But when she showed affection
My foolishness made me hide

I didn't want others to know
Just how much I really cared
I guess I was self conscious
If I knew that people stared

I was never into holding hands
Or kissing, so others could see
That may have been wrong
But then, that was always me

But when I look back at what I had
Compared to what I have today
It's true, when we're young we're foolish
Because of what we sometimes let slip away

The foolishness in young age in every ones life acts as a spice and makes it worth living and enables us to enjoy them at a later stage. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
