Young John Poem by Francis Duggan

Young John

Young John is a nice man in him nothing vain
One who works hard for a living he never complain
To his wife and their three years old daughter and their five years old boy
He is truly devoted they are his pride and joy
He is never in the local bar or playing or watching football
Sport or pub socializing does not interest him at all
He spends all of his leisure time at home with his children and wife
A family man who enjoys the quiet life
John who works hard for his take home pay
Is the quiet achiever in his own quiet way
One who is untainted by conceit or guile
He greets everyone with his wonderful smile
In his twenty seventh year of life in his physical prime
He is the inspiration of this simple rhyme.
