Young Love Poem by Jake Deeds

Young Love

Rating: 5.0

Deep inside a silent slumber
Out and beneath the uncut lumber
The ebb and flow of a divine breeze
While lying on a bed of leaves
Within a dream a dream conceives

The conception but of reveries
With cloudless skies and windless seas
Where Spring and Fall are melodies
And slathered stars in sky outnumber
The painted leaves in hue of umber

Hearts raptured in silence swoon
Ruby red lips on a blushing blood moon
Slowly slinking between leaves and seam
To taste the cream atop the cream
And voyage beyond the realm of dream

Wandering eyes reduced to a gleam
Balmy palms are gaining steam
Young love, young love, you reign supreme
Trail with me long reminiscence of June
Beneath the canopy and cotton strewn <><
