Your Cord Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Your Cord

Your cord

I fear only one
And no one else
Not for their jealousies
Or not as an adversary

I have always prayed
And tried not to be swayed
By mighty winds
Or troubles of any kind

If I am to become industrialist
Or scientist
I shall become despite hurdles
But shall not be marred by your troubles

I have full faith
And shall remain unto death
Each count of breathe
I leave to strengthen belief

So I shall go forward
With single word
'Help me o lord'
Keep my heart tied with your cord
