Your Expanse Poem by Nikhat Bano

Your Expanse

Rating: 5.0

A handful of stars I need,
to glow my heart's darkest corner;
Whose reflections blossom
on the green beneath.

To light up blown out flames
of love and compassion;
To awaken the torch bearers of peace
from their deep slumber.

Need some rays to walk on,
in the serpentine hilly paths;
Some light is must to ascend,
to adore your craft O' Lord!

What will you lose O' Heaven?
Not anything.......
What have I asked from you?
Just the falling stardust.

What have I taken from my
earthly beings?
Can't oblige me for anything.....
Pray! Save my piety for another life.

Bejewelled sheet of yours,
I always see from a distance;
This endless shiny spread,
is nothing but your mercy O' Lord!
