Your Fault! Poem by Barry Van Allen

Your Fault!

Rating: 3.5

I'm not sleeping, and you know it,
because you kissed me, and I kissed back.
The bathroom light is on,
the shower preparation silhouette...

You knew my eyes weren't closed,
but you pretended...
You didn't close the door,
and didn't pull the shower curtain!

I could not turn me over,
I didn't even try this time,
I even thought of joining you,
but I, know that you're shy sometimes.

How I wanted to be drops of water,
going from head to toe,
... and all points in between!

I listened and I watched,
as you came in and out of view,
I just wanted to be soap,
cleansing you to make sure that,
you were really, really, really clean!
Because my racing heart and other parts,
just can't tolerate a dirty girl!

The water stopped,
and then you stood there for a moment,
and looked into my eyes...
I wished I was that towel...
the light went out, then you came out,
and got into our bed!

I was late to work,
and I didn't say a thing,
... that jackass docked my pay,
- - - O.K.!
