'' Your Masterpiece Awaits '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Your Masterpiece Awaits ''

Do you write for fun?
To give others pleasure,
Or perhaps you write to incite,
When all's said and done,
Your art is your treasure,
Ignore those who live for a fight.

On the subject matter,
They'll have a chatter,
It's conflict before it's been read,
They'll try to shatter,
Rather than flatter,
Their aim is to fill you with dread.

It's their sole aim,
To make you feel shame,
By what's read then what they have written,
It's part of their game,
To put you in the frame,
By their actions you mustn't be bitten.

Do stand tall,
Ignore their sick call,
They do not know fiction from fact,
Ignore the brawl,
Don't ever crawl,
Keep your principles and morals intact.

Don't ever ask why,
They'll mock your reply,
Their world is where animosity rules,
The evil they ply,
Do not dignify,
There's talent in ignoring such fools.

It is inviting,
So, continue writing,
Do enjoy what your talent creates,
They may love inciting,
But you love exciting,
Deep inside,
