Your Own Fault (Ghazal)
Putting the small lamp against gushing wind was your own fault
Floating the small yacht against forceful flood was your own fault
Movements without internal understanding are losing meaning
Clinging to values and sacrificing the life was your own fault
Human love is stinking with lust everywhere
Searching for platonic love in tasteless people was your own fault
Dejection rises along with more hopes in the world
Wishing for fruits without watering the plant was your own fault
What do you get by alleging the betrayer now?
Trusting somebody other than your own self was your own fault
Know you not the countless ways of alleging the world? It is so.
Dear Sali, not changing yourself was your own fault.

Lovely piece of poetry depicting regretful inward reflection, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. Definitely a good poem to share on the site. Thanks for sharing Chidananda. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
