Your Purpose In Life Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Your Purpose In Life

It takes two to tango
Life is a dance
Not a stench
No tension
Just attention
The devil is in the details
Note the entrance
It is not wide enough
But it is too close to the truth
Life is an open avenue
A two-edged sword
Don't cut yourself
Curtail your thoughts
It is your feelings that matter
It doesn't matter how successful you are
If you cannot master the sentinel feeling of stillness or Silence
You will be reduced to an algorithmic machine
Chasing after identities, expectations, achievements and attachments
You will find desolate places abhorrable
You will not seek aloneness
Not because you are happy
But because you are not ready to know the truth
Always following the latest trends
Hooked to the constructed billboard of reality
You will not create a platform for Silence to emerge
To take you to the dimensionless realm of nothingness
Your purpose in life will remain tasteless
No passion to add flavor to your recipe
Just the fluffy substance of materialism
Sticking out through the roof of your mind
Your purpose in life lost in the rigid structure of your thoughts
Let Stillness or Silence be your true character
And life will be a river of inspiration
That brings peace, happiness and Love to your being
