'' Your Thoughts Are What Keep Them Living '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Your Thoughts Are What Keep Them Living ''

What do you do,
When a loved one dies,
Go into your shell or move on,
Yes, it's true,
The one who denies,
Will never admit that they've gone.

What do you say,
To those left to grieve,
As heartbreak can be so hard to bear,
Try to convey,
You also perceive,
Of their pain you are fully aware.

How can you show,
They're still by their side,
At a time, they don't understand,
By letting them know,
There's no need to hide,
Reassure them by extending your hand.

How do you assist,
A loved one in need,
When their world has fallen apart,
Help clear the mist,
Ensure they take heed,
They have memories deep in their heart.

One certain fact,
We cannot ignore,
Is in life we've a limited time,
We cannot protract,
Nor can we ignore,
Whilst here do ensure it's sublime.

Those who have passed,
Do not disappear,
Though death can be so unforgiving,
By remaining steadfast,
It becomes crystal clear,
