Your Water Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Your Water

You entice young men and bring them to destruction!
And like the rumble of rattling wheels;
But your water is now ebbing away,
And like a lion among the beasts of the forest.
Catch them in the net and gather them in the drag,
And like swimming things that have no ruler over them!
But look among the heathen and watch,
And like the east wind that destroyed the fruits of your love.
