You are the diamond I can't afford,
shining with a light that mocks my hands.
I trace the edges of your brilliance,
only to find the lines lead to silence.
Time bends around you,
its weight suspended in the gravity of your presence.
I stand still, a witness to something infinite,
knowing Iam finite, knowing Iam shadow.
There are worlds within your facets,
realms I will never touch,
and yet, I carry their echoes,
a hum beneath my breath,
a wound that does not bleed.
You are not a possession to be held
-----
You are a truth I must live without.
