The strength to rebel
The power of saying no
And not let anyone lead you astray

The warmth to love
The faith to hope
The willingness to be loved
And not let anyone come in your way

The spirit to live
The energy to give
The courage to perspire
And not let anyone dampen your desire

The clarity in thought
The appetite for knowledge
The passion for friendship
And not letting colour or creed steer the ship

Ah, this beauty we call Youth
Changing the myriads it caresses
An inexplicable pattern of life
Woven in a dexterity of its own

Youth
Is not a stage of life
It is a way of life
