When the day sucks
And you're not making big bucks
And you really could use some luck
And..perhaps a tummy tuck

When all you've lived for goes down
And you've seen enough frowns
You'd even settle for an unfunny clown
To get you out of your mood so brown

When your heart starts to tear
And your world's riddled with fear
And your dreams don't seem so clear
And you're always in the wrong gear

When the whole world's filled with greed
And sometimes, a friend is all you need
And you need something stronger than a good book to read
Look no further I plead

For with this best friend, you'll be glad
He'll give you joy, so don't be sad
He'll show you love, more than just a tad
In a warm blanket of friendship you'll be clad

This best friend is none other than a dog
The best medicine to your heart being in a clog
No more tears in your eyes, no more sog
Something fun to write about in your blog
