Yukon Upside Down Poem by John McCornack

Yukon Upside Down

It was just another late January day when
Radio said a monster storm was on the way
And soon after freezing rain started to fall
It turned dark as the ducks ceased to play

There was a very strange feeling in the air
As if Yukon was being turned upside down
Rain continued as power lines began to fall
Yukon was slowly becoming a disaster town
