Zagreb the capital of Croatia
Is an interesting city indeed
Early settlement in lower part
And fortified area's upper town.

Name Zagreb's intriguing indeed
Proto-Slavic ‘grab' may mean a hill
Maybe it originated from German ‘Agram'
Maybe someone used ‘zagrab' for fetch.

City has an excellent tram system
Used by locals and visitor as well
Tourists taste the friendliness of people
Cuisine in the eateries' a delight too.

What do we see in a few hours tour?
Only a sample of some buildings and streets
Which may be enough to become curious
And resolve to visit again some other time.
