Zheng Banqiao: Unrelentingly, Biting Hard Into The Mountain Green

Unrelentingly, biting hard into the mountain green
-- by Zheng Banqiao (Qing Dynasty)
-- Translated by Frank C Yue

Unrelentingly, biting hard into the mountain green,
I first planted my roots deep into broken rocks unseen.
Braving myriad tribulations, beatings I still stand my ground --
Whether from the East, South, West or North the gusts blow around.
